Psalms 32 A Prayer During Distress Just like children the Lord wants us to have a pure heart free from malice, unforgiveness, hatred, jealousy and all the characteristics that are not of God. Take a few minutes out of your day on any given day and just sit at the playground. In doing so you will find it rather therapeutic watching the children play and you'll note how equally interesting it is that they make friends quite easily. When the Lord saves you He wants you to emulate the very same child like spirit. It is a spirit that is pure and filled with the power of love the Lord wants to make it easy for you to be friend in John 15:15 He calls us friends. A friend can be easily reached not only in good times but also in the time of trouble. Selah Psalms 32:6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. The world has drastically changed a vale has come over the earth and suddenly there is problem everywhere. God has promised us peace in the day of trouble He said He will hide you under His wings. He will direct your every step in the way you should go to escape that trouble and find the resources you need for survival. The Lord will protect you from harm during dangerous times.
Selah Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Just like the trust a child has for his parents the Lord wants us to have an even greater trust for Him and follow His instructions. So sensitivity to His voice is important, this sensitivity can only occur through relationship. Your trust is important to God. In Psalms 32:10 He said "Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him". Continue to rest assure in the Lord that He will never fail you, once you trust Him with the purity of a child's heart.
Psalms 32 1 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 2 Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Selah 5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"-- and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah 6 Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. 9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. 10 Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. 11 Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart! https://anchor.fm/s/ab0fd3d0/podcast/rss Summary - Listen to this awesome message from Pastor Chidi Okorie.
